There is increasing recognition of the importance of patient involvement in health care decision making, and of the unique contribution that patients can offer through sharing their lived experiences. The NCPE consider that patients can make a valuable contribution to Health Technology Assessment of new drug technologies, and to this end have created the Patient Organisation Submission Process.
